Givenchy Leopard Halter Top

This halter top by Givenchy has subtle leopard print and very chic zipper details. I make a dressy casual outfit with a pair of sleek white shorts, wooden heel sandals and a quilted handbag.

Open Knit Top

This set was made for a contest. The Alexander Wang sweater has a wide round neck, one draped half sleeve and one long sleeve, metallic panels at sleeve and front. The minty color feels fresh for this season. Skinny leather pants are a major wardrobe must-have. They show no sign of disappearing even over the summer. This pair is by Diane von Furstenberg. I add a pair of lace-up ankle boots with peep toes and wedge heels. The chain strap bag with embellished details is by an upcoming brand, Antik Batik. Lastly, the layered necklace with chunky tear-drop beads and dangling rhinestone accents in teal is by Urban Outfitters.

By the way, this set won the 2nd place in the contest. I hope you like it too. :)

44. Cape Town

Cape Town, South Africa is number 44 in the 60 City Challenge. That means I have only 16 more to go!! Anyway, it is such a beautiful city. I actually have a friend who is working as a physician there...
The asymmetrical sweater top by Alexander Wang is so chic. I wish I could own one. :) I pair it with a pair of striped skorts. The skorts has ruffle details at the side pockets but it's a little hard to see in the picture below. You would have to hover your mouse over it to see more. I pick brown shoes and bag for this set. The lace- up oxford pump is by Donegal and the bag is the mini version of Proenza Schouler's iconic PS1. For necklace, I use a rosary necklace from Semi Couture which is made from wooden beads with gold-tone chain detailing and multiple pendants. To pay a small tribute to South Africa's diamond, I finish the look with a pair of sterling silver earrings with uncut stones.

43. Montreal

Number 43 in the 60 City Challenge is Montreal, Canada. I googled Montreal street style and found it to be on the relaxed casual side. This is a good break for me because I have been doing a lot of dressy sets lately. Suspenders seem to have come back, at least in a small way. These jeans have suspenders hanging on the side and the legs rolled up to mid calf -- so cool! The button-down top is made with silk so the outfit is still a little dressy. Isabel Marant's cotton and linen blend jacket has chic buckles, belts and tabs. The brown lace-up boots lend a rugged look. And the Proenza Schouler's brown bag is a very versatile piece that can be used again and again. I top off the look with accessories in antique brass: studded bracelet set, dagger earrings, and  a large wire wrap ring.

7. Mexico City

It's too late for Cinco de Mayo but this set is number 7 in the 60 City Challenge. I loved the colorful images of Mexico City and decided to use a subtle color palette for the outfit. The hand-knit poncho from Calypso St. Barth has 3/4 sleeves and knot details in the front. Straight leg indigo denim jeans are from Paul by Paul Smith. The lace-up boots with crochet panels on the side plays off the texture of the poncho. The leatherette trimmed handbag from Forever21 extends the natural color palette. Western-style horseshoe earrings brings more ethnic/exotic feel to the look. The bracelets by H&M add a little surprise to the look.

If you wonder why there is a Nivea tin in the picture, I can explain. There was a contest by Nivea going on at the time, so I tried to save time by doing the set for both the 60 City Challenge and the Nivea contest. :P Later on, I submit the set to a Dream Destination contest and won 2nd place. Hooray!

41. Athens

Number 41 in the 60 City Challenge is Athens. I couldn't resist Greek's famous white and bright blue palette. The white tunic dress looked so light and airy. The bow detail and the blue embroidery on one side of the hem are very cute as well. I picked a one-shoulder swim
suit for the set. Blue thong sandals with silver tone studs seemed the perfect choice for Greece. Finally, the tote bag and the earrings had similar circular designs in blue. I thought they look Greek and would go well with the outfit. Oh, one last thing. I found Nars lip gloss called Greek Holiday. It's supposed to look like sparkling pink sand. How cute!

Freshness of Spring

A light weight tunic shirt is worn with colorful iris print leggings. The dark blue cardigan keeps it warm in spring. I choose purple cutaway flats to play off the color of the iris on the leggings although you can't see it in the set. The Burburry shoulder bag, butterfly necklace and earrings in teal complete the outfit.

Pink

The oversized pink flower graphic on the black tee is so pretty. I pair it with black skinny trousers and top it with a pink belted summer jacket. To keep the outfit casual, I choose pink sandals that feature buckle details to play off the same details on the bag. The blue color on the scarf helps break the color monotony.

Teal Fury from Lancome

This set was made for a contest by Lancome for their eye shadow. I loved the pattern and the pastel colors on the shorts. I paired it with a plain white tee and a teal cardigan. Gray oxford shoes and gray short socks matched with the gray fringed handbag. Teal earrings and scarf finished the look.
