45. Milan

Number 45 in the 60 City Challenge is Milan. The street style here seems to be on a trendier and sexier side.

Why this outfit works:
- The jacket, halter top, and skirt feature diagonal lines.
- The yellow color in the skirt and accessories pop over the neutral colors of the jacket, top, shoes and bag.
- The fitted short jacket echoes the silhouette of the top and does not hide the silhouette and the details of the skirt.

48. Lisbon

Lisbon, Portugal is number 48 in the 60 City Challenge. I'm getting close to the finish line! Yay!!

The Valentino blouse in sheer beige with black and white polka dots is super cute with the ruffles. I pair it with a pair of gray leather shorts by Kelly Bergin. The Valentino flat shoes have gold studs and gold chain straps. Because there is already a lot going on in the outfit, I pick a simple Dorothy Perkins rectangular bag in taupe to go with the flats. Next, gold-tone bangle bracelet set with cabochons from French Connection plays off the polka dots on the blouse and the studs on the shoes. I finish the look with a pair of gold-tone hoop earrings from Banana Republic.

44. Cape Town

Cape Town, South Africa is number 44 in the 60 City Challenge. That means I have only 16 more to go!! Anyway, it is such a beautiful city. I actually have a friend who is working as a physician there...
The asymmetrical sweater top by Alexander Wang is so chic. I wish I could own one. :) I pair it with a pair of striped skorts. The skorts has ruffle details at the side pockets but it's a little hard to see in the picture below. You would have to hover your mouse over it to see more. I pick brown shoes and bag for this set. The lace- up oxford pump is by Donegal and the bag is the mini version of Proenza Schouler's iconic PS1. For necklace, I use a rosary necklace from Semi Couture which is made from wooden beads with gold-tone chain detailing and multiple pendants. To pay a small tribute to South Africa's diamond, I finish the look with a pair of sterling silver earrings with uncut stones.

43. Montreal

Number 43 in the 60 City Challenge is Montreal, Canada. I googled Montreal street style and found it to be on the relaxed casual side. This is a good break for me because I have been doing a lot of dressy sets lately. Suspenders seem to have come back, at least in a small way. These jeans have suspenders hanging on the side and the legs rolled up to mid calf -- so cool! The button-down top is made with silk so the outfit is still a little dressy. Isabel Marant's cotton and linen blend jacket has chic buckles, belts and tabs. The brown lace-up boots lend a rugged look. And the Proenza Schouler's brown bag is a very versatile piece that can be used again and again. I top off the look with accessories in antique brass: studded bracelet set, dagger earrings, and  a large wire wrap ring.

7. Mexico City

It's too late for Cinco de Mayo but this set is number 7 in the 60 City Challenge. I loved the colorful images of Mexico City and decided to use a subtle color palette for the outfit. The hand-knit poncho from Calypso St. Barth has 3/4 sleeves and knot details in the front. Straight leg indigo denim jeans are from Paul by Paul Smith. The lace-up boots with crochet panels on the side plays off the texture of the poncho. The leatherette trimmed handbag from Forever21 extends the natural color palette. Western-style horseshoe earrings brings more ethnic/exotic feel to the look. The bracelets by H&M add a little surprise to the look.

If you wonder why there is a Nivea tin in the picture, I can explain. There was a contest by Nivea going on at the time, so I tried to save time by doing the set for both the 60 City Challenge and the Nivea contest. :P Later on, I submit the set to a Dream Destination contest and won 2nd place. Hooray!

41. Athens

Number 41 in the 60 City Challenge is Athens. I couldn't resist Greek's famous white and bright blue palette. The white tunic dress looked so light and airy. The bow detail and the blue embroidery on one side of the hem are very cute as well. I picked a one-shoulder swim
suit for the set. Blue thong sandals with silver tone studs seemed the perfect choice for Greece. Finally, the tote bag and the earrings had similar circular designs in blue. I thought they look Greek and would go well with the outfit. Oh, one last thing. I found Nars lip gloss called Greek Holiday. It's supposed to look like sparkling pink sand. How cute!

40. Seattle

Number 40 in the 60 City Challenge. I found this art of Seattle on Polyvore. The beautiful pastel palette made it the perfect image for this set. The dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim had such an interesting lace patchwork. I picked a formal black blazer by Zadig & Voltaire to go with it. Both the dress and the blazer are sort of form-fitting. I played off the emphasis on shapes by adding the smart black platform stiletto by Dolce Vita and a nude rectangular handbag. The multi-chain necklace is small enough so it doesn't clash with the pattern on the dress but significant enough so it does not disappear. I just loved the drop earrings with geodes and diamonds from Kimberly McDonald. The colors go with the outfit perfectly and the round natural shapes help break the monotony of the rectangular patterns on the dress.

39. Casablanca

This is number 39 in the 60 City Challenge. Casablanca is in Morocco. I found so many beautiful pictures of Casablanca and Morocco when I was looking for some to use in the set that I decided to put it on my travel list.

The dress is a kaftan style dress to go with traditional Moroccan costumes. While  the real Moroccan style kaftans are a lot more ornate and elegant, this dress is more in the minimalist side. I dress it up with gold sandals, metallic leather bag with cute lasercut details, and a statement shell necklace.
